Jingle & Mingle Event Heralded a Success

Earlier this month we played host to our first ever Christmas event dedicated to all thing’s ears. On Thursday 8th December we staged our inaugural Christmas ‘Jingle and Mingle’ drop in event at Insole Court in Llandaff, which attracted a large amount of interest from the local community and our existing patient base.

We were absolutely delighted with how the event went and a huge thank you to everyone who came along.

For a full write up of the event, please read below.

The event was supported by hearing charity Hearing Dogs for Deaf People and was attended by the The Lord Mayor & Lady Mayoress of Cardiff, Cllr Graham Hinchey and Anne Hinchey.

Many of the attendees on the day were able to take advantage of an onsite ear health check or hearing aid check up, enjoy a mince pie and a glass of mulled wine and had the chance to speak with the Cardiff Hearing team.

The Lord Mayor who had his own ear health check at the event said, “According to the Royal National Institute for the Deaf (RNID), one in five people in the UK experience hearing loss, which equates to over 72,000 people in Cardiff alone!”

He continued, “It is so important that help is available locally for anybody struggling to hear and its fantastic to see Sonja and her team at Cardiff Hearing organising events like these. They are clearly very passionate individuals and genuinely want to help people.”

Cardiff Hearing owner and Lead Audiologist, Sonja Jones said, “My team and I are so delighted that the event was a real success. The response was beyond what we were expecting, and I lost track of the number of people we spoke to. We felt by organising something like this, that it would allow people to come and find out information without the pressure of going into a clinic room.

“It was also such a pleasure to see so many familiar faces there and have the chance to spread some festive cheer!”
